Attorney David Miller has advocated for individuals and their families for more than twenty-five years, mainly in family law, probate and estates, and personal injury. He has tried, mediated, and appealed cases across Alabama — including a favorable verdict in his first solo jury trial mere weeks after obtaining his law license.

Mr. Miller practices from The Harris Firm LLC’s downtown Birmingham office, serving Jefferson County, Shelby County, and the surrounding metro. Family law consultations are $100 by phone or in person, usually scheduled the same week you call.

A Litigator’s Career Built in Alabama Courtrooms

Attorney Miller has successfully advocated for clients in need of all types of litigation across the State of Alabama, including obtaining a favorable verdict in his first solo jury trial mere weeks after obtaining his law license. He has tried, mediated, and appealed numerous cases throughout Alabama and has taught several continuing legal education seminars over his career.

While he has experience handling a broad range of matters — including civil litigation and injury cases — in recent years David has narrowed his practice to advocate for families with family law needs in Birmingham. He continues to handle personal injury matters as one of the firm’s injury attorneys.

Mr. Miller graduated from Birmingham-Southern College with a bachelor’s degree in business, where he served as President of the Student Government Association, before obtaining his law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar and the Birmingham Bar Association, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama.

David was born in Mountain Brook, Alabama and still resides in the Birmingham area with his family. Outside the office he enjoys time with his family, photography, and long distance running.
