The Harris Firm L.L.C. currently has offices at 4000 Eagle Point Corporate Drive, Suite 110, Birmingham, AL 35242 and throughs the State of Alabama. Our lawyers will handle cases in every court in the State of Alabama. Any city or county designation in this site is to indicate that we have or will handle cases in the cities and counties named.
The flat fee for an uncontested divorce does not include the filing fee that must be paid to the court when the divorce is filed or certain post-divorce document preparation such as deeds, domestic relations orders, or wills. This fee is only for us to prepare your uncontested divorce documents, which includes an agreement reached by both of you, provide limited counsel, and file it with the court. All uncontested divorce clients utilizing the flat fee services must sign an attorney/client fee agreement detailing the limited counsel provided for this discounted price.
Our lawyers charge a flat fee for attorney’s fees in simple Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases. However, this is only in cases where single filers “qualify” by being under the Alabama Median Income Level for a family of their size and we do not have to perform the means test, and there are no complex issues or issues requiring extra time to be spent by attorney such as, but not limited to, pending divorces, garnishments, self-employed individuals where profit and loss statements must be created by the attorney, calculating the means test, or complex business interests.
We are a debt relief agency, we help people file for Bankruptcy under the Bankruptcy Code. Past performance is no guarantee of future results.
Our law firm provides other bundled legal services for discounted flat fees in order to help make certain legal representation more affordable for low income individuals. These bundled services are subject to the fee agreement signed by both attorney and client. In the case of simple wills, we currently offer a discounted fee for simple will documents to be prepared for couples or single individuals. This flat fee covers either one single will or two wills (one for each spouse) in the case of couples. We do not charge for two separate wills in the case of married couples. A simple will is generally where an individual is leaving all of their estate to one or two other persons. We reserve the right to not represent an individual if we so choose, merely calling our office does not constitute an attorney/client relationship between yourself and an attorney with the firm. Contact our office for more information about what constitutes a simple will, or you can go to our simple will page on this website.
