IMMIGRATION LAW
Immigration law determines who may enter the United States and how long they can stay. Among other things, an Immigration Attorney can help individuals applying for visas. There are two types of visas: immigrant visas and nonimmigrant visas. Most non-immigrant visas are issued mostly to temporary visitors such as tourists. Immigrant visas allow the holder to stay in the United States permanently. The number of immigrant visas that can be granted are limited.
H1B visas allow foreign workers to come to the United States and work and is granted depending on the occupation of the worker. If obtained, these visas allow the holder to apply for a green card. Other such employment based visas are H2B visa and the E3 visa.
We can also help individuals apply for a permanent resident card. A permanent resident card or green card holder can live and work permanently in the United States. A green card can be acquired by marriage to an American citizen, immediate relation to American citizen, being sponsored by an employer, or the green card lottery.
